Privacy Policy

Last updated October 5, 2026

This policy explains what information Autobats Car Battery Center handles when you use this website and RATCHET, our AI battery finder, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

1. What we collect

• Your RATCHET messages. What you type — usually your vehicle’s make, model, year and engine. You do not need an account, and we do not ask for your name, phone number or email on the site.
• Basic technical data. Like most websites, our servers log your IP address and request details. We use this to keep the site running and to prevent abuse, such as limiting how many questions can be sent in a short time.
• When you call or text us. Your number and what you tell us, used to answer you, reserve a battery and record your purchase and warranty.

2. RATCHET and xAI

To answer, your RATCHET messages are sent to xAI, the company behind Grok, which processes them under its own terms and privacy policy. Please do not enter personal information — names, phone numbers, addresses or plate numbers — in RATCHET. It only needs vehicle details.

3. What we do not do

• We do not sell your information.
• We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this site.
• We do not keep your RATCHET conversation in a customer profile; it lives in your browser tab and is gone when you close it.

4. How long we keep it

Server logs are kept only as long as needed to run and protect the site. Purchase and warranty records are kept for as long as the warranty runs and as required by tax and business-record rules.

5. Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act you can ask what information we hold about you, have it corrected, or ask us to delete it where we are not required to keep it. Call or text 0999 165 0194 (8AM–9PM). You may also complain to the National Privacy Commission.

6. Changes

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version. See also our Terms & Conditions.
